Some time ago Zoe started to write travel blogs (some have now been re-posted onto this website or visit www.spectacularworldtravel.com.au for lots more) and whilst travel is one of her greatest passions, she also loves to write on small business and other general topics. Hence why the development of www.zoesparks.com and Spectacular Enterprises.

Writing, travel & events and small business are Zoe’s passions and Spectacular Enterprises allows her to promote her love of all of these, and the opportunity to share them with her readers. Zoe loves to share her travel experiences, loves to talk about small business (particularly assisting women in the SME business arena and focusing on ‘Reward and Recognition’ programs) and like the majority of us, also tries to follow a happy, healthy and balanced life.

Business Mentor

Zoë set up her company, Spectacular Events Pty Ltd, in 1998 and since then has single handedly owned and run her business (which she jokingly claims is like a third child and probably the highest maintenance!). During the first few years, she built her business into a multi-award winning travel business – spread over three divisions – all through sheer hard work and determination.

Her primary role was, and still is today, the Manager, marketing, administration, IT, HR, accounting etc. which is the case for most SME business owners and operators. The success and prosperity of your business starts and ends with you, although Zoë is a firm believer that behind every great business is a sensational team in which each member plays a vital role.

As a committee and board member, Zoë has worked within all scopes of business – SME, franchised, charity, government, not-for-profit and public listed companies.

The business fundamentals and principals are fairly similar across most business types and she loves working within most business types and particularly within the realm of ‘reward and recognition’, mentoring and marketing (particularly social media) fields.

Travel Guru

Zoë has over twenty-five year’s experience within the travel industry, and after winning the prestigious “Traveland National Consultant of the Year 1995/96” award, she moved from Qld’s Sunshine Coast to Sydney to take on the position as Conference Manager for Traveland Pty Ltd.

In 1998, Spectacular Events Pty Ltd was launched, specialising in all aspects of Conference & Event Management and also corporate travel. Zoë remained contracted to Traveland until 2001 but also decided to set up her own travel agency after moving back to the Sunshine Coast in June 2000.

Spectacular Events Pty Ltd joined the Jetset Travelworld Group in 2001, and for a number of years Zoë owned and operated two travel centres – Travelworld Caloundra and Travelworld Mooloolaba. The two were merged together in 2004, and this was when the business really took off and became recognised as being the Sunshine Coast’s leading travel centre with a repeat and referred clientele to be envied. Zoë was ecstatic to be named the 2004 Sunshine Coast “Business Woman of the Year” and then also recognised as a 2005 & 2006 QLD finalist in the Telstra “Business Woman of the Year” awards.

Zoë’s passion has always been working on conferences, events, corporate and group travel, and also assisting her long standing clients and friends to realise their personal travel dreams. She is fortunate to have travelled extensively and loves to share her knowledge and experiences, whilst developing relationships that are professional but personable.

This led Zoë to make the decision in June 2011 to focus exclusively on her repeat/referred clients and her group, conference and even management business. She moved out of a retail 9am – 5pm travel centre and into a corporate environment… now known as Spectacular World Travel & Events.
